Emmett Vaughn - Diversity & Inclusion Ambassador of the Year

Jacob Dancer -  Employee of the Year

Jacob, Program Supervisor for UCAN's 360° Model and Homeworks Program has been working at UCAN for 18 years. His commitment, dedication and cheerful demeanor are well known throughout UCAN; click here to read more about Jacob. 

Shirley Harris- Foster Parent of the Year

Shirley is a foster parent to four children, two of whom she has adopted. She is a shining example of what Professional Foster Parenting is all about. Her dedication and compassion are incomparable - click here to read more. 

Floyd Simpson and Maurice Jelks - Mentors of the Year

Floyd and Maurice have been mentors to UCAN youth for the past three years. The men, both employees of Northern Trust, have a passion for mentoring men from UCAN's STARS program as well as our Project Visible Man group. Click here to read more about these exceptional men. 

Joni Hoffer and Karen Kopan - Volunteers of the Year

Joni and Karen are volunteer hosts from UCAN's LGBTQ Host Home Program. They generously opened their home to a homeless LGBTQ youth for a year and by doing so enabled this youth to not only have a stable life but also make their dreams a reality. Click here to read their story.
