- UCAN believes in the resiliency and potential of every young person, even in the face of life's most traumatic experiences.
- CITY challenges youth affected by violence to develop skills to become responsible and positive leaders in their schools, workplaces, families and communities.
A place and approach
- CITY will begin with a physical campus in Chicago's North Lawndale community.
- The campus will grow to encompass up to 10 "Safe Centers" citywide, where young people will receive individualized care to build safe, stable lives.
- Programs include unprecedented tracking of activity, solutions and progress, which coordinates ongoing, consistent care through specialists on staff and community partners.
