Vice President, Residential Treatment

Kathy joined UCAN in 1990 as a boys' dorm supervisor in UCAN's Residential Treatment Program.  After one and a half years as supervisor, she progressed first to the position of Assistant Director of Residential, followed by that of Director of Residential.  Kathy then switched to UCAN's Independent Living Arrangement Program as a case manager, subsequently opening UCAN's first Transitional Living Program home in 1999.  After leading both UCAN's Transitional Living and Independent Living Programs for many years, she moved back to Residential as the Vice President in 2008.

Prior to her time at UCAN, Kathy worked at Maryville Academy in the positions of Family Educator, Assistant Program Manager, and Program Manager -- all in diagnostic girls' treatment programs, working with DCFS wards. 

Kathy has a Bachelor's degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology in psychology and biology, and received her Master's degree in Social Work in 2004 from Dominican University.
