UCAN's community social services and support help families thrive in their environment and helps youth achieve their potential through leadership training and mentoring.

  • Giving youth a placeChicago Department of Human Services Service Connector assesses and supports families in Chicago Housing Authority developments make the transition to self-sufficiency.
  • Chicago Housing Authority Relocation Services helps families find housing and make a successful transition from public housing into their new neighborhood.
  • Clinical & Counseling Services offers a wide range of specialized therapy services both in our offices or in the homes of clients.
  • Foster Grandparents places trained limited-income senior volunteers into area elementary schools to tutor and help students develop social skills and improve their academic skills.
  • U-LEAD (Programs for Youth) strives to give a voice to young people, to build positive relationships with adults, and to develop to their fullest through life skills training, career development, and involvement in activities such as Project Visible Man, HANDS (Hands Without Guns-Chicago), Project Hope, H2C (High School to College), Youth Against Violence, and more.
  • Mentoring/Volunteer Program pairs the talents and interests of responsible men and women with the needs of our clients. Mentor and volunteer programs help young people build positive relationships with adults and broaden their social and cultural experience.
