Healing Trauma
UCAN has a variety of programs designed specifically to create a healing process for those who have experienced trauma. These programs range in intensity to meet the individual needs of our clients.
Clinical & Counseling Services (CCS) provides outpatient therapy to people who have experienced trauma. Working with youth, adults and families in a variety of settings, CCS is prepared to help clients address complex issues including abuse, neglect, separation & loss and domestic violence. We create individualized treatment plans to meet the needs of our clients. A variety of payment options are available for this program.
Professional Foster Parenting (PFP) provides foster homes to youth in need in Cook, Lake & McHenry counties. Our success depends on the willingness and commitment of our trained foster parents who ensure our youth have a safe, caring home while efforts are made to create a safe environment for the youth back with their natural parents.
Teen Parent Service Network (TPSN) works exclusively with pregnant and parenting youth in DCFS care. TPSN monitors the care of all of these pregnant and parenting youth in the Chicagoland area. TPSN also provides extensive clinical services and parent education to the young parents and parents-to-be.
Transitional Teen Services (TTS) works exclusively with older youth in DCFS care, providing all the services and supports necessary to successfully launch these youth into independent adulthood.
Residential Treatment Center provides services exclusively for youth in DCFS care in our 24-hour treatment program. This program is designed for youth working through the personal impact of complex trauma in a structure, therapeutic environment.
