Thank you for all of the wonderful goods and items you've donated to UCAN! 

Unfortunately due to the quantity of items received, we have been unable to use all of the items delivered to UCAN.  A list of the items we would love to have donated are below; please call or email Nina Kobilca at 773-290-5867 or kobilcan@ucanchicago.org to determine whether or not we can accept your gift. 

•  Right now we are greatly in need of new or used suitcases, duffle bags, and any other sort of bag used for packing.  Our youth who are being emancipated would greatly appreciate these donations. 

Household items needed (in new or gently used condition, please):

• Baby equipment (diapers, wipes, diaper bags, high chairs, strollers, pack 'n' plays, toddler training potties, car seats of all sizes, etc.)
• Brand new infant and baby clothing
• Furniture (couches, chairs, table/chairs, rugs, etc.)
• Dishes, silverware and pots/pans
• Paint for apartments (volunteers to help paint are always good too!)
• A full-sized refrigerator
• Various sizes of poster frames (plexiglass/plastic, not glass)
• Clear large sized storage totes
• Twin size comforter sets ("bed in a bag")
  
  

School supplies needed (new):

• Reams of Xerox paper - Uhlich Academy photocopies textbooks for students
• Pencils and black/blue pens
• One and three subject spiral notebooks, wide rule (plain colors only)
• Two pocket folders (plain colors only)
• Highlighters
• Scientific calculators
• Protractors
• Laptops for college students (used laptops are okay)
• Scrapbooking supplies
  
  

Recreational and sporting items needed (new or gently used):

• Bicycles (teen and adult sizes)
• Volleyball equipment
• Softball/baseball equipment
• Basketballs, footballs, kickballs
• Soccer equipment (balls, indoor nets)
• Badminton equipment
• Jump ropes
• Velcro dart boards
• Yoga mats

• A karaoke machine with CD player
• DVDs (movies from the last 3 years) -- G, PG or PG13 only.  Preference is for teen-themed movies or those with African-American actors.
• Gift cards from Target in denominations of $10 or $20 for our Good Grades program
