December 19th:  Chicago Bear Brian Urlacher takes UCAN youth shopping at Target

This Christmas, some of the youth from our FamilyWorks program and UCAN Academy received the gift of a lifetime: a Target shopping spree with Chicago Bear Brian Urlacher! As he has donated ten tickets for every Bears' home game to UCAN youth for many years now and visited our Lowden Homes FamilyWorks youth last December, UCAN holds a special place in Brian's heart. December 8th: UCAN Auxiliary Board's 3rd Annual Ugly Sweater Holiday Party

The UCAN Auxiliary Board held its 3rd Annual Ugly Sweater Holiday Party fundraiser in December and it was another success!  Thank you to all of our event attendees who helped raise almost $3,000 for our youth and families; please click here to see pictures from the event.

November  26th - December: UCAN's Annual Toy Drive

Each year UCAN's children and youth fill out wish lists for the holiday season. Thanks to the generosity of our many donors who filled their wish lists and those who gave at the Dick Biondi 94.7 WLS Toy Drive at Stratford Square Mall, our youth are going to have a wonderful holiday season! June 29th: UCAN's Youth Graduation

UCAN held a graduation celebration for youth from the following programs: High School to College, Mentoring and Advocacy, Phenomenal Woman, Project Visible Man, STARS, and Young Leaders Development Institute. Graduates, families and friends were in attendance along with UCAN staff, UCAN supporters, and a very special keynote speaker - Mr. Steve Pemberton, Divisional Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer of Walgreens. We are thrilled to announce that out of the 56 high school students graduating from six of UCAN's youth development programs, 45 will be attending college in the fall and the remaining 11 are currently employed! June 16th: The 12th Annual Leadership Awards Dinner

Thank you to everyone who came out for an evening dedicated to the academic and personal achievements of UCAN's youth and to support our vision: Youth who have suffered trauma can become our future leaders. It was an extraordinary evening at the Four Seasons - before dinner, guests mingled with UCAN youth while enjoying a silent auction and reception.  To date, we are thrilled to announce we have raised over $550,000 and counting! March 24: UCAN's Auxiliary Board Trivia Night

Thanks to all those who came out to enjoy an evening of trivia with your friends at Gunner's in Wicker Park! And a big thank you to Whaddayaknow? Free Trivia for hosting the trivia that night.  Congratulations to our big winners!
