Join your teammates at Lil’ Sluggers, Hamlin Park Baseball and Oz Park Baseball for a HIT-A-THON to fund violence prevention programs for Chicago’s at risk youth. This unique event allows your child to give back to the community, build confidence and HAVE FUN!
Each participating child will have the opportunity to hit ten baseballs in a batting cage (at your regular field) thrown by a Lil’ Sluggers, Hamlin Park Baseball or Oz Park Baseball volunteer coach! Pledge any amount to participate ($25 target suggested), and join your friends at the batting cage to hit baseballs.
Raise $100 and get ten extra baseballs!
DATES AND LOCATIONS HAVE CHANGED: Look for the batting cages with the “UCAN SLUG OUT VIOLENCE” signs; they will be adjacent to your regular game locations and available before or after your games. Just show your pledge page and step up to the plate for your chance to participate!
August 4 & 5
How: Just register, collect pledges, join friends to hit baseballs for charity, and have fun!
- Create a pledge page to help recruit sponsors including, if you chose, the option to email your page to friends and family, or post on social media.
- Or, make a one-time pledge of at least $25.
Note: There is no registration fee, only a commitment to collect a minimum of $25 in pledges to this tax deductable charity.
If you prefer to collect via cash and check, you can download this Slug Out Violence Flyer to record pledges and turn them in during the event.
We look forward to seeing you there!
