Scot McCormick, CPA

Chief Financial Officer

Scot joined UCAN in 2008 with over thirty years of progressively responsible experience in financial and operating management.  Currently serving as UCAN's Chief Financial Officer, Scot is responsible for financial reporting, financing transactions, budgeting, cash management, insurance and all accounting functions.

Scot previously worked in consulting for McCormick & Co. from 2004-2008, and was the President of American Fastnet, a wireless broadband internet service provider start-up, from 2002- 2004. 

From 1995 - 2002 Scot held various positions with Thurston Group including Director, Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Secretary.  Thurston Group is a private investment bank focused on start-ups in the internet and telecommunications spaces.  From 1993-1995 he worked as the Chief Financial Officer for The Park Corporation in Barrington, IL, and he was  the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer for Whitestar Graphics Inc. from 1990-1993.  Scot's additional experience includes positions at CC Industries Inc., American Envelope Company, Lemont Shipbuilding and Repair Company, and Coopers & Lybrand. 

Scot received his B.S. in accounting from Michigan State University in 1976, and his C.P.A. Certificate in Illinois in 1981.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the Illinois CPA Society.
